A perfect cup of tea is quite soothing and calming which is probably all we need sometimes.
Preparing a cup of leaf/black tea could seem pretty straightforward but there are extremely important yet simple things to keep in mind. During my experience of cooking, I have observed and learnt the following tips and tricks which work beautifully while preparing leaf/black tea.
The first step is to heat up the water only till a point you see tiny bubbles on bottom and sides of pan. This is the point right before it starts boiling. This is quite important as the boiled water affects the flavor and aroma to a large extent.
Next is to add the tea leaves or tea bag after turning off the heat. It is now important to let the tea steep for at least 2 minutes. While steeping, it is best to cover the pan to sort of lock the flavor and aroma in. This helps in extracting the maximum flavor and nutritional value from the tea.
An additional tip, try to use honey or cinnamon for sweetness in your tea.
