Curry Leaves are quite a common ingredient in Indian kitchens and cuisine. It is extensively used in multiple dishes especially in southern region of India. The Curry tree is a native to India and Sri Lanka.
Curry leaves have been known for its medicinal value apart from being used as a herb in various dishes. It is also an quite an easy to maintain plant in your home garden. I have probably seen curry leaf plant or tree in most of the Indian households since my childhood. It is rarely bought from the market.
People who have had it, know about the distinct taste and aroma. I personally love the aroma of a fresh curry leaf.
