As a common belief, I had always assumed that all red meats are 'bad' and should be consumed rarely. So, it was usually chicken and seafood as to go-to non vegetarian options. The other option from the red meat category was mutton. Since it was priced at the higher end plus the unhealthy notion, we had it very rarely. Although, I personally loved it more than chicken and seafood.
When it comes to the nutrition aspect of the red meat, there is still quite a lot of research going on. Some might suggest that they are very fatty while some might say that they are quite nutritious and so on. There is still no conclusive answer to the dilemma. It is only important to moderate and avoid excess of anything.
Now, as for Goat meat or mutton, the iron content is quite rich when compared to the other red as well white meats.
Please note that this is just a nutrition information that I found worth sharing and I do not suggest in any manner here to start consuming mutton or any other non vegetarian option if one does wish to.
As always, remember moderation is the key to good health!
